Chapter 3
The Beast

"The beast within me.
It fights for the control.
I fight it as hard as I can.
But my strenght is limited.
The beast will win this battle.
And it shall bring destruction into this world."

A feline canine hybrid was sitting on a chair in the library. The candles that were placed on the end of every row of bookcases and on every table showed strange figures of shadows on the walls, but the hybrid didn't care, he seemed to enjoy the darkness. He was surrounded by different books, the book he was reading had the title "Advanced Spiritual Magics" While he was reading, a vixine walked towards him. The light coming from the candles wasn't strong so the vixen didn't have any problems to sneak up to the hybrid sitting by the table and reading.
"Trying to sneak up on me, Celine?" The hybrid asked while he turned a page in the book he was reading. Celine stopped and asked. "How did you know I tried to surprise you, Zachorias?" Zachorias lifted his head from the book and aimed his purple eyes at Celine and sighed. "I don't know, I'v been able to sence if someone is coming, it has been like that ever since I was little." Celine tilted her head to the left and let a small "Okay." Out from her muzzle.
"What areas did you decide to study in the Necromancy class?" She asked while grabbing a book from the pile of books Zachorias had picked from the library. "I chose the regular necromancy and ice, seemed like a good combination. They're both strong if the user is strong." Zachorias said while turning to another page. "How strong are you, Zach? Are you strong enough to beat an adult dragon?" Celine asked while looking through some books. Zachorias blushed a little and answered. "Well, I don't want to brag about my skills, but I'd say that even if I couldn't beat one, I would make it extreemly difficult to beat me. Why do you ask?" Zachorias asked while drinking water from a cup he had under his pile of books. Celine began to blush and her tail wrapped around her leg. "Well, I was wondering that whoever gets you as their mate, you two will have strong pups." Zachorias nodded and put down his cup. "Yeah, I believe so. And I swear I'm gonna train them even stronger."
Celine blushed even more and her tail continued to wrap around her leg. "Well, I was wondering, that when we both graduate from here, I mean if you're not in a hurry and if you don't have anywhere to go. Could I come and live with you? Since I don't have a place of my own." Zachorias lifted his head from the book and looked straight into Celine's eyes, the vixine's eyes glowed with hope and Zachorias smiled. "Of course, I was planning on beginning my journey after I graduated, but I think this sounds alot better, and since my sister is somewhere studying, my parents could change her room into a little bit more, fitting. Since the last time I saw her room, it was filled with some strange girly toys." Zachorias said while still smiling to Celine. "Oh, you have a sister? I didn't know that. Is she younger or older than you?"
Zachorias drank some water from his cup, after he was done he continued to read. "She was six years-old when I left home, she must be ten years-old by now." Celine leaned over Zachorias' head and looked at what he was reading. "I presume you don't have much contact with your family?" Zachorias tilted his head to the left and picked up the pile of books that he had taken to read. He began to place the books in their correct places while answering to Celine's question. "That's true, I haven't written a single letter to them, maybe because I don't want to bother them without some good news, like if I was going to graduate, getting married, dying or coming home."
While Zachorias was placing a book on it's right place Celine opened her muzzle and tried to say something but no words came out. Zachorias noticed this and stopped while he held onto a book he was about to put on it's place. "Celine? What's wrong?" He asked with a concerned look on his face. Celine tried to say something but no words came out, her eyes looked around the library while trying to find the source of the spell. Then her eyes stopped moving around and looked at the point behind Zachorias. Zachorias saw the look of horror in her eyes and quickly summoned an ice dagger in his right paw while turning his whole body and thrusting the newly summoned dagger into whatever was behind him. The paw in wich he held his dagger was held back by another paw, a rabbit's paw. The rabbit smiled widely while the candle lights were casting strange shadows on the walls. "Oh no you don't, that trick won't work on me anymore, hybrid scum!"
Zachorias smiled while struggling to stab the enemy with his dagger. "So, they finally let the weakling out? Hows your stomach? I hope I didn't hurt your little tummy." Zachorias growled while his eyes began to glow. The rabbit laughed while still holding Zachorias' paw with one of his paw. "Yes, they somehow managed to cure me from your poison. And let me say, that the nurses got a punch in the face after I was cured. The poison made me a little bit aggressive I guess. No matter since I am going to make you pay for the wound." This time it was Zachorias' turn to laugh, he first tried to punch the rabbit with his free paw but the rabbit blocked it. "You're going to pay me back? With what? More yelling and whining because of a little poison? God, you're such a whimp." The rabbit continued to laugh and said to Zachorias. "Oh no, Im not a wimp, Im a genius wich you soon shall see, because unlike you, I have learned how to cast spells without paw movements." The rabbit said while an orb of dark energy gathered in between Zachorias and and the rabbit. "Oh shit!" Were the only words Zachorias said before the spell was done and it hit Zachorias straight in his chest. Zachorias let out a loud yell when he flew through the wall and began to fall down from the library tower. Celine stood up and saw Zachorias falling getting thrown through the wall and beginning to fall downwards.
A loud scream came out from her muzzle. The rabbit laughed and turned towards Celine who had fallen on the stone floor and whimpered. "And now it's your turn, for just knowing him you will feel much pain before I let you out from the misery of life." The rabbit stood infront of Celine and lifted his paw and tried to hit her, but for some strange reason he felt his paw stopping in the mid air. "What the fu-" The rabbit said while turning his head.
He was shocked to notice that a glowing whip-like rope was tied around his arm. He followed the glowing whip where it went with his eyes, when his eyes saw what was responsible for the whip his eyes got filled with fear. Zachorias was standing on the ground and holding the dark glowing rope in his paw. The ground on wich Zachorias was standing was dying and turning grey. "What? No! That's not possible! You should've died from that fall!" The rabbit yelled while he tried to tear the rope apart. Zachorias began to laugh, his laugh was cold and it sounded like it had lost all feelings. "You can't break this rope. It's made from pure dark magic, now. Get down here!" Zachorias yelled while his eyes glow turned into flames. He pulled the rope and the rabbit began to fall against the ground, but he had allready casted a bone tower spell. The spell was aimed perfectly and the top of the tower was flat enough for the rabbit to hit it without beeing harmed. Zachorias dispelled his whip began to form magical patterns with his paws. Before the rabbit had even blinked Zachorias was allready charging his paw against the ground before his paws. When his paws hitted the ground the ground began to shake. The rabbit began to concentrate magic in his left paw but the spell didn't get completed because of sharp bone shards bursting out from the bone tower.
"God damn it! Hybrid! I'm gonna kill you!" The rabbit yelled while he had jumped from the tower and only received a couple of scratches from the bone shards. He landed close to a bench that was close to the entrance gate. "I'm going to fucking kill you! And after that I'll kill that bitch that you call a friend!" The rabbit said while he began to charge the spell again. But the words "bitch" were stuck in Zachorias' ears and now he was furious. He began to growl loudly while the ground seemed to spit out some strange flames that moved straight into Zachorias. He growled even louder and his eyes flames grew even bigger, but his whole body seemed to get caught by the strange purple flames.
Celine watched in tears how Zachorias' whole body got covered in the flames. She cried even more, she didn't know what she should do nor what she could do. But all she could do was to watch the fight as the rabbit continued to charge his spell and as Zachorias became covered in the flames. Now the rabbit's spell was done and he held a dark electric ball in his right paw. "Die!" He yelled as he threw the orb straight at Zachorias. Zachorias didn't even try and evade and the ball hit the flames and dissappeared. The rabbit didn't care, he began to charge two orbs, one in each paw. Zachorias stood where he had landed and he lifted his head and looked straight at the rabbit, alltough Zachorias' eyes were in flames, he could see an ice cold stare from inside the flames. Even toughCeline couldn't see Zachorias' eyes, she could still feel the dark energy coming from Zachorias and the energy made her fur stand up. The flames began to make Zachorias rise from the ground while he began to chant with a low voice. As he chanted, the flames began to form into a sphere with Zachorias inside, he then continued to chant with different words. The sphere began to form runes unto it's shell and they began to glow and circle around Zachorias. "I don't know what kind of spell that is, but you won't get it done in time!" The rabbit yelled while he threw the orb he had in his left paw at Zachorias while beginning to charge against him with the second orb in his paw. "For the last fucking time, DIE!" The rabbit yelled as his orb touched Zachorias' sphere.
When they connected it led to a big explosion. The rabbit flew straight in the castle wall and fell down with only some minor injuries. "Oh no, he couldn't have survived that explosion. Zach! ZACH!" Celine yelled when she saw the smoke that was left from the explosion. The rabbit stood up while a laughter filled his mouth. "Hah! There's no way in hell he could've survived my twin energy orb and an explosion like that!" The rabbit laughed while holding on his arm. The bones were broken and he had a small wound in his right paw. The smoke began to clear and Zachorias was still standing there, except that he wasn't anymore inside a sphere or in flames. He had a strange armor on him, it seemed to be build of dark plates and bones with a strange flexible material at the joints and a pair of large dragon-like wings on the back. "No way! That's not possible! Why can't you die!?" The rabbit yelled at Zachorias. But to his surprise Zachorias didn't take notice of the screaming rabbit, instead he looked at his paws, studied them and the armor he had aquired. He began to laugh, he laughed in a very unhuman and cruel tone. "What's so funny?" Celine could hear the rabbit yell over and over again to Zachorias, she had stopped to whimper and had begun to look at Zachorias with a lust filled look. "I wanted him, he's so strong, if we were together, I would be strong too, our love couldn't be stopped, we would be invincible." She whispered for herself. After Zachorias was done studying his paws he finally noticedthe rabbit.
With a blink of an eye, he placed a curse on him. The rabbit had taken a few steps back but not more since he was petrified by fear because of the curse. "You're so going to die, rabbit." Zachorias said while he began to walk towards the rabbit. He couldn't move, he was just standing there while the feline-canine hybrid walked towards him, or as the rabbit saw him, a demon, filled with power was walking towards him and he couldn't try and defend him in any way. Zachorias stopped infront of the rabbit who didn't have time to breathe before Zachorias had punched him, sending him flying through the air and crasching into one of the stone towers. Zachorias was blinded with power and he didn't want to stop, he called forth the same magical whip he had stopped the rabbit from hitting Celine with. "Don't you dare to die on me allready! I'm just getting started!" Zachorias yelled while he bound the whip around the rabbit's weak body and swung him through the air and crasched him in the ground. "Now, we will see..." Zachorias said while he began to charge two gas like spheres in his paws. "...Who is the weaker one." The gas spheres began to glow. The rabbit was lying on the ground twenty feet away from Zachorias. The rabbit struggled and tried to get on his feet again, he was weak but he managed to get up, what he then saw was something he had never before seen in his life nor would he ever see again. Zachorias slammed the gas spheres on the ground, when he did it the whole ground began to shake.
The rabbit saw this and he began to wonder. "Did he just cast an earthquake spell? No, he couldn't! Necromancers don't have those kinds of powers, he concentrated wrong kind of magic and energy, those energies he concentrated. Oh my god...He performed a summoning spell, but the energies around him, they aren't the usual summoning spell energies, dear lord, what did he summon?" The rabbit thought for himself. Suddenly the ground on wich Zachorias stood on exploded, the pressure wave from the explosion hitted the rabbit and he flew even further away. From the smoke of the explosion rised a huge beast and when the wind had blown the smoke away you could hear countless screams of terror when the students and some teachers saw what Zachorias had summoned. But none of the student's fears could be compared to what the rabbit had to face, an Skeletal Elder Dragon that Zachorias had summoned.
