They both the fourth wall by referring to the Player as their “Puppeteer”, talking to them on occasion and relying on their presence for most tasks. They can also come back from the dead by using small box-like objects, and travel through different worlds unconventionally (TVs for Charlotte, Tarot Cards for Batter)

They both were guided by an enigmatic, well-mannered and well-spoken figure (The Judge & Charles/The Observer) who also are aware of the player’s presence and speaks to us, notably commenting on our actions at the end of the game.

They both also went against a bunch stuffed bears at one point along with destroying their universe.

They both have monstrous forms (Charlotte after merging with the Oracle, and Batter after losing the connection with the puppeteer).

Charlotte is timid and caring, while Batter is stoic and callous.

Charlotte is a god-like child with absent parents and implied mental health issues, while Batter killed and had some connection with a god-like child with absent parents and implied mental health issues.
