AN INCREDIBLE PARALLEL
Steven Universe is a whole cartoon, were you follow old time resistant Garnet, Amethyst and Pearl wich more than 5000 years ago against Yellow Diamond, Blue Diamond and White Diamond.

The idea:
What if you take this idea and twist it around? Let's inverse the role.
Here we have:
Pearl playing as Blue diamond
Amethyst Playing as Yellow diamond
Garnet playing as White diamond.
And KitsuneZakuro didn't do it randomly, each cristal gems is a reflect of a Diamond Autority, as if, Rebecca Sugar (creator of Steven Universe) did it on purpose.
Pearl as blue diamond is an evidence: Both Pearl and Blue Diamond surfer alot of Rose Quartz aka Pink Diamond death. Pearl is clearly a sensible string on the SU universe and the most emotionally complex (Really Motherly toward Steven, she hide her sentiment behind her sassy nature, she end up to cry the most often due to the fact that's she have the most episode around her emotional struggle and her role in the serie). She is also the most caring character as Blue Diamond seems to be. Blue Diamond is the only Diamond to have tried something about Pink "Earth issue" by creating "the Zoo".
Amethyst as Yellow diamond seem a bit off at first glance but she is indeed also a good mirror. Yellow diamond is the most habile and best fighter of the 3 diamond authority, as Amethyst show to become, further the series go. She is also a really strong presence since the season one and the one who try to blame someone else for Pink death, as amethyst do for Greg on the begnning of the serie, Yellow also did it on the 3 and 4 season, where she blame Rose and the vrystal gems for pink death. Amethyst is noticable for have pass beyond that's and learn to be a better person. We wait that's for Yellow Diamond.
Garnet as White Diamond is the most accurate for me. Both Garnet and White Diamond are the "mysterious one" since the beginning of the serie. Garnet is the one we know the less about her, we have to wait 52 episode to know she is a fusion (where for amethyst and pearl there place are set early on). White Diamond is only reveal on the end of season 5 (so really recently at time I write this). Both White Diamond and Garnet are the strongest of these kind. Garnet is clearly the mind and muscle of the crystal gems, kinda like the mother of them all. White Diamond as she appear really recently, she is the strongest one, at a point that's she scare Yellow and Blue Diamond. She is also like there mom.

About the draw itself.
We really get caught by the 3 characters and the "Diamond" Symbol in the middle. We can recognize the Crystal gems outfits mix a bit, just enough, the trait of the 3 Diamond. Pearl wearing a fusion between her usual combinaison and blue diamond bereavement dress. Amethyst is wearing Yellow diamond outfit with her color on. Garnet is set behing the 2 other gems because of the mystery behing White diamond real nature but he keep the element wich make garnet really distinguable her glasses.
We immediatly accept them as Diamond.
The galaxy powder or "cloud" around them renforce the "God of us world" as diamond are in SU universe. The hyper speed style of the cloud let's us think that's we start from earth to space in the spaceship.
The flashlight and the pink ring around them are first of all a clear referrence to Pink Diamond (steven mother, so he get her gems) and a reference to the beam White, Yellow and Blue send on earth and corrupt all other gems. It's also a great ways to keep attentions on them.
Color mark the
The technique is a bit simple, (paticulary the background, who is forghetable, next to all the other detail and precision on the foreground of the draw). Some people could call the technique of this draw it the weak point. Truth is, when you have a vision that's strong, technique has to be push behind.

I am by no means intending to be disparaging, to this piece as it's quite fantastic all on it's own. Just a little side thought of my own, I find it interesting that people often seem to fit the crystal gems in this manner when correlating the diamonds to them. But arguably and seemingly, this wouldn't really work not by my reckoning, not just due to the disparity of personalities and experiences. But also there's actually a closer correlation maybe not obvious but all the same it is still there. It seems more accurate that despite the diamonds being distinct, that if I were to draw a parallel analogy I would say Peridot was Yellow, Lapis is Blue, and Pearl is White. Not specifically due to their relationship with Steven or Pink as the case may be, more due to there overall experience and personality. My justification being Peridot is dutiful sometimes shortsighted and singular in focus, and is only now opening up and learning to be more expansive and more herself not to hide or feel shame or regret. She is not blinded by her sense of duty and devotion anymore, this is much the same as to where we see Yellow diamond is now and where she may end up in future. With Lapis she is melancholic and depressive, having known and felt much trauma and sorrow though this great trauma and sorrow is not unique to her or Blue I actually view it as quite characteristic for all the Diamonds and mentioned gems. But neither Lapis or Blue is able to move on or let go, Lapis was a bystander in larger machinations and is slowly seeking to let go and live life once more and finally heal. Blue Diamond seems much in the same place she longs and weeps for something better but is further from healing, I would also say they both seem to have a hidden vindictive streak, they can be seriously threatening and violent when provoked. Much the same of Yellow and Peridot as well who both tend to act on what they think is best without being too mindful of consequences to others, Peridot is learning to not do this, again I would hazard to say Yellow will learn in time. Finally Pearl not only do I think this works because Pearl was very likely connected to White Diamond in some way even having served her or was a gift to Pink. But also what I can piece together of White's personality from inference and Occam's razor, she is possibly quite cold and calculating and but also very motherly possibly taking the mantle of "Goddess or Mother of the kind" sort of thing no matter how true this is in reality. Pearl is much the same she is maternal and caring for those whom she loves but also can be quite cold and calculating, and once a route or decision is taken, will think she is absolutely right and no other way can or should be taken, White likely thinks this way as well. This analogy works doubly if she was connected to White at all as she probably shares many of White's traits in that case. As well the mystery even with recent revelations Pearl in many ways has the most secrets and is the most distant of all the gems, seemingly quite similar to White. And that point of secrets, mystery, and hidden depths I think is important to all the Diamonds who are living as much as the three analogous gems, we still know markedly little of any of the Diamonds inner monologues and minds or history and the same is very true for Peridot, Lapis, and Pearl. Comparatively Garnet and Amethyst are open books practically who actually know quite little about their compatriots in the other gems I mentioned or the larger Universe in the same way. One other thing I view as binding and corollary to Peridot, Lapis, and Pearl is their pining for a home they may never return to and feeling lost trapped or alone, I actually view this as quite related to the diamonds who I think feel ironically much the same (possibly isolated by their positions, standing. and history) they are also tied by a sense of loss and longing to each other as much the aforementioned gems. I could see in future a similar relationship to those three gems as to the diamonds, in a more essential sense I would say the are all very suited to each other due to personality and experiences and potentially the diamonds to our gems as well. Our gems are mirror souls and I would argue the Diamonds are as well reflections and bonded to each other as much within as between all as one.
