I want to do a comic in this style, with this character, and might turn it into another series... maybe...Anyway, meet Specialist!
Strange name right? Well, nopony else knows her real name, so they just call her Specialist...
She's a field medic and doctor for the Equestrian Military, having a natural talent for healing the sick and injured. Though, without any war happening, she's only really had to treat the injuries she has inflicted on others...
You see, she has a bit of a short temper, and a general dislike of just about everypony else... And with little else to do, she'll usually either go out of her way to injure someone annoying her, so she'd have something to do, or she'll just mope around and wait for something to do.
It also doesn't help that she's stuck in an isolated part of somewhere-that-isn't-Equestria, with no option to return home, or leave the military base without orders...
Note: her orders never said she couldn't inflict injuries on her comrades. As long as they aren't too bad, and she fixes them afterwards, she usually gets away with it... Being the Specialist she is, no one's really willing to just kick her out, or lose her...

So, since you said "Though, without any war happening" why would she (and army if she is doctor for the Equestrian Military) be in somewhere-that-isn't-Equestria and what are they doing there? As well, we know that army is not for all life so obviously they will return in equestria one day, right? Also strange fact is that they have no option to return home. What does that mean?
And about her behavior. This is something to do with her past? Maybe childhood trauma or something simillar? Or it's just what she was born with?
