I think I like the one on the right better. The snow adds the appropriate mood for the piece where as the left... it does not compliment it as well. Either way, love the piece.

This is really a lovely idea. I like your style and for this short time, it's drawn brilliantly.
Both versions look pretty cool and it is interesting to see how the background and colour sheme changes the atmosphere. While the first one looks rather warm and as if he's smiling somehow friendly, looks the winter version pretty cold and he appears rather snobish or untouchable for me.
