I saw this in the courtyard to my apartment on the way inside my door. After I identified it I tried to scare it away 'cause my neighbors let their cats out and we have nice squirrels. Why? 'Cause this 5 inch tall bird is EVIL. This is a Loggerhead Shrike aka Butcher Bird. They're carnivorous and sometimes cannibalistic birds that rip open their prey with their sharp, pointed bills and strewn out their intestines. Hence, Butcher Bird. 5 inches tall... EVIL.
