Well in the comics he stayed bad and same wheat for the myth. But I'm SO with you on this as a Loki fan I so want Loki to finally redeem himself and the brothers to be close again. It breaks my heart every time Thor hits him and every time Loki returns the abuse. I wold love to see the story have a happy ending for all involved.

I think I read somewhere that in the comics Loki gives his life for Thor and is reborn a child. Apparently Thor says, "I miss my brother." I'm not sure why I'd want to read a comic series where Thor and Loki are always trying to kill each other, it would get old real quick. The other gods do some pretty horrible things to Loki as well, I think gods in mythology have a very different idea of good in evil than humans, in Greek mythology Hera would take her anger out on the women her husband Zeus would cheat on and their children. Why Hera isn't considered evil but Loki is I don't know. I don't usually feel bad for villains but I do with Loki, I just wish he understood just how much his brother, Thor loves him. I feel even worse for Thor, he loves his little brother so much but Loki hates him.
