History: Sumiko's father was a basketball player until he got into a car accident as he was driving to a basketball court. Her father's leg was seriously injured to to the point where he wasn't able to use it anymore. The coach told him to stop playing basketball until his leg recovered. Koizumi was then born around this time. As she was growing up, she saw photos of her father playing on the basketball team with a happy expression. Koizumi asked her father why he is so upset because the photos show that he has a genuinely bright expression. Her father explained his story, and that's when Koizumi became motivated to play basketball at her fullest potential with a lot of coaching from her dad. She isn't able to reach her fullest abilities yet. She wanted to play basketball for her father, but she soon realized that she was happy as she was playing with her teammates for a small game. Koizumi's mom also supported her love for basketball, despite traveling a lot on her job she still sends photos and little treats to Koizumi. Koizumi's mom would have her play in little leagues and all those basketball competition, though Koizumi lost a fair amount of games she also won a few there too. Since Koizumi's mom travels a lot for her work they would have to move every few months, however; since Koizumi was origanally born in Japan she wanted to stay there as she grew. So she rented an apartment space and lived her life there while her mom and dad traveled together. ( Koizumi is in a bit higher then Middle class but not rich)
