An updated, new Character Sheet for my Main OC!
I've been thinking to redraw Ysulyan's character sheet. The other one looked a bit too mild, and the design of Ysulyan eventually did not look well for me. I mean, he looked very small and his wings were too small and such, plus that style was more Spyro-ish than mine. It also lacked information such as colour of horns/claws and colour of his brotherhood markings. I won't be adding close-up details of his Nature Element symbol because it's pretty clear from here. The same goes to his brotherhood symbol on his hind leg.
Here goes a few notes to take notice of:

WINGS: They have been always the same, but now I have added those horn-like tips at the end of each "finger"

BROTHERHOOD SYMBOL: It is only found on his LEFT hind leg, as shown there; not on the RIGHT one.

NATURE SYMBOL: Found on both arms.

LIKES AND DISLIKES: I haven't shared a few others, because I just didn't want to put any more... I put the ones that are most important.

HIS BACK: I think now it's clearer that he just has crests on his back, not spines.

------- Now, as regards the notes I added there -------

(1) The Nature Element consists of 5 elements into one: Fire, Wind, Water, Earth and Aether. This might sound quite powerful, but here's the drawback: Nature element is a BALANCE of the five elements, meaning Ysulyan cannot learn more than the other one. He must keep a balanced knowledge of each. Not only one cannot learn to the perfection 5 elements (it's like trying to speak 5 different languages like their native people at once), but the element itself just won't allow the dragon to master them. He is bound to keep a mild knowledge of each. Nature Element allows the dragon to use all of the elements, but disabling them to be masters of those. That's why Ysulyan cannot be considered as an "elder" or "master" of any element. He's a Jack of All Trades. The Element in which he excels is Earth, while he neglects the Water element, and prefers not to use it too much.

(2) To Nature and Earth Dragons of Erazoth, Vigor is the overall physical, mental and psychological health and state of every being. They are taught that these are found in every living being, and is bound to their bodies until they die. Nature Dragons use Vigor to perform their special attacks, magical and of the sort. Vigor is like Mana, basically. A Nature Dragon can gain Vigor by meditating or by "borrowing" from other living creatures, such as trees, animals or even dragons. The more the complexity of the being, the harder it is to take Vigor from; basically because it requires a semi-spiritual connection between those two beings, and if a dragon just denies the connection mentally, then it is impossible to take Vigor from them. Nature itself keeps count of how much does a dragon take from it. Irresponsible draining from Nature would result as a penalty to Ysulyan if he does not return the favour later by being charitable draining his own energy in behalf of Nature, to restore it and whatnot. Such penalties are that of denial of energy withdrawal from Nature itself

----- End of notes -----

Well, I've added Zellgrö for the demonstration of Ysulyan's healing spell Remember Zellgrö is copyright to for those who don't know him yet, I can only tell you he's just too awesome
I have nothing else to say, I guess Oh, yes... Any questions you have, you can ask me! Cheers to everyone!

Art (c)

With all due respect, if you steal this art you are definitely stupid. I mean, who would ever steal a goddamn character sheet? For Pete's Sake! Go make your own character!

Ysulyan In reply to ??? [2012-12-28 16:43:24 +0000 UTC]

Bueno si Gary Stu xD;

A very well made, natural, legit dragon.

Awww but that's flattering x''3 A 20 in scale?
Ah yes well I tried to give him natural colours, at first he used to be plainly green, with some orange markings on his neck... Then I decided to add the symbol of nature on his arms, change the colour of his scales and add those blue markings representing the brotherhood he has with Zellgrö x3 (=ZellgroSteelfire )

I didn't realise you gave your dragons accelerated ageing -- most writers seem to have dragons age really slowly.

It's also nice to get details of Ysulyan's nature powers, nice touch will the little illustrations with the power effects, and he looks epic posing in the middle there
Love the claws by the way.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Ysulyan In reply to Ross-Sanger [2011-09-23 15:33:00 +0000 UTC]

It's not accelerated ageing... When I created Ysulyan he was already 22. His birthday is in Febraury, when I created him. I forgot to turn him 23 this febraury so I kind of found an excuse to make him older in my birthday xD If you ask me why did I make him older than me, well it's basically a matter of his own world I could explain you why, but it's a bit of a long story xD

Thank you so much, yes I tried to give illustrations of his powers, since in the last reference they looked very vague. And also I gave him a few fixes. I actually derped in the last reference, his wings were very small xD
Thanks, that is my new style for claws

Ross-Sanger In reply to Ysulyan [2011-09-23 16:38:12 +0000 UTC]

Oh, I see, I thought the age on the sheet was his age as a character rather the time since you created him. I always think that dragons probably grow and mature faster than humans but live longer, that's the only reason I asked.

You're welcome great work.

Ysulyan In reply to Ross-Sanger [2011-10-16 02:20:46 +0000 UTC]

Ross-Sanger In reply to Ysulyan [2011-10-16 10:29:16 +0000 UTC]

Oh, so I was right the first time -- if that's his actual age then he must grow faster than humans.

You're welcome

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Ysulyan In reply to Ross-Sanger [2011-10-29 19:05:04 +0000 UTC]

Actually he grows pretty fast but there's a point where his race does nto grow anymore, until they are older and then they begin to grow once again

Ross-Sanger In reply to Ysulyan [2011-10-29 20:11:32 +0000 UTC]

That seems reasonable, I like the idea

Ysulyan In reply to Ross-Sanger [2011-11-05 15:20:07 +0000 UTC]

You do?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Ross-Sanger In reply to Ysulyan [2011-11-05 15:43:17 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I always think dragons should reach maturity faster than most fiction depicts -- I feel like they'd mature at the same rate or a faster rate than humans then their growth would slow when they reach maturity and they'd live for a longer period after that, rather than taking a hundred years to mature like I've seen in some fantasy fiction. Even blue whales only take about fifteen years to grow to maturity (I think, might be less). Also, bull elephants don't stop growing, they just slow down, so your idea of the dragon having a period where their growth slows once they reach maturity seems reasonable too.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Ysulyan In reply to Ross-Sanger [2011-11-05 21:44:22 +0000 UTC]

Why, thank you! It is basically the ageing of Ysulyan's dragon race though. I won't say all dragons have the same ageing as Ysulyan, because it wouldn't be true.
I never knew that fact about whales. THE MORE YOU KNOW!!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Ross-Sanger In reply to Ysulyan [2011-11-12 11:56:04 +0000 UTC]

Ah, so you have different dragon races that age differently in that world?

Blue whales can't swallow anything larger than a grapefruit either. Stephen Fry said it.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Ysulyan In reply to Ross-Sanger [2011-12-15 20:20:48 +0000 UTC]

In that world, the dragons age in one way, with the exception of some, from other elements... But what I mean is, Ysulyan won't age in the same way as another character created by another person

Who's Stephen Fry?

Ah yes, Stephen Fry used to do a sketch show with Hugh Laurie (House). They also acted together in "Black Adder" as Lord Melchett and Lord Percy, alongside Rowan Atkinson as Lord Blackadder (better known as Mr. Bean) and Tony Robinson as his servant Baldrick (now presenter of Time Team, also writer of the children's comedy "Maid Marion and her Merry Men"). These days Fry is best known for presenting documentaries, as well as being the compare on the panel show "Quite Interesting".
