Description

In every era, on every Earth, humans seem to share a long and despair filled history of conflict. But why do people fight? Is it possible for mankind to evolve beyond such immature things? To evolve beyond war? The answer to those questions exists out there somewhere, hidden within the flow of space-time. And in an unknown future where humanity teeters on the very brink of extinction, there is but one hope of finding that answer. The General Answer. A massive repository database which houses such a dense collection of virtual histories of the past eras of the Earth, its contents rival reality itself. So for mankind to survive the people of the future must use G-Divers, special pilots who can enter the worlds recorded in the General Answer, to bring back data that might give a hint towards humanity’s evolution… Strangely enough though, all the General Answer’s data is also linked by the recurring existence of large humanoid machines, the Mobile Suits known as Gundam…

The G-Diver Leos Alloy and his partner/navigator Sthesia Awar have faced a great number of challenges together on their nigh endless quest to help save humanity. Whether it’s going on new dive missions with their own Gundams to extract data, or dealing with situations aboard the Jupiter X space station which they call home, life for this quirky couple was extremly unordinary. And after the last stretch of their latest lengthy adventure, their lives would continue to be so. Not only did the pair encounter, battle, and eventually befriend a quartette of altered clones of Sthesia. Sthesia Awar Acht, Sthesia Awar Nono, Sthesia Awar Sesto, and Sthesia Awar Primo respectively. Each of the copies share their own unique infatuation with Leos and have all taken up residence with the duo aboard the Jovian satellite.

Nono: “Ahhhhhhh, Leos my darling!~ There you are! I’m so glad you made it back from that last dive mission. Take a good look outside. I’ve got something BIG for you to dive into next! Ufufu!~”

Leos: “Wha? WHOA…”

Sthesia: “N-Nono?! How much data did you absorb to get this big?! You’ll cause an overload with the entire station if you stay at this size! …And you’d better stop staring at her like that Leos… Hmph.”

So I’m sure most of you are wondering, who are these characters and where are they from? Well the short answer is they’re from Gundam, the “Extreme VS” / “EXA VS” series to be precise, and I don’t blame you if you’ve never heard of it. The TLDR is that this particular series started out as a 2v2 arena style arcade fighting game over in Japan before receiving a number of sequel updates that eventually also got a set of manga adaptations/story continuations.

Some versions of the games were later ported to consoles but the only (normal) one we’ve officially gotten in the west is “Gundam Extreme VS Maxi Boost On” on the PS4. (It’s usually called MBON for short… And that’s also what I based the title for this on if you couldn’t tell…) The generically named “GUNDAM VERSUS” doesn’t count since it’s not part of the “Extreme VS” series and there isn’t a story to begin with in that one anyways... And technically there is also “Gundam Extreme VS Force” on the PSVITA but that didn’t follow the traditional EXVS formula even if story-wise it was a prequel to the entire series. Actually, that brings me to another point. The story.

I did my best to give a general introductory plot synopsis/scene setter for the world of Gundam EXA, but there is a lot more to it that I just won’t go into detail about. And the same thing goes for the characters. Basically, the only thing you need to know is that despite Nono being a clone, she is more akin to original Sthesia’s BIG THICC ara-ara older sister who loves to flirt and acts like a bit like a haughty queen… So perfect big lady material, lol.

A big thanks to Jenny for doing this commission for me and helping to shine some of light on a relatively obscure waifu. She deserves to be big. Oh, and one final thing. If any of y’all actually play MBON or are curious about it you should hit me up sometime. Cause like, this game is legit y’all.
