i get a lot of really negative feedback from the like "normal" bunch actually.Β Especially on my food stuff omg it's so dumb!Β I had someone ask me how i "didn't feel like a complete idiot for stepping on a cake, if i wanted a picture of my feet just look down..." /facepalmΒ And people got so up in arms about me stepping on cookies!Β I made cookies explicitly to step on them and then ate the rest with my boyfriend at the time and gave him all his favorites and we watched tv together and he giggled at my shots and we hung out.Β People were so outraged by my cookie stepping it was like... you lazy jerk, go spend 3 bucks and you too can have like 30 cookies!!!! lol so shh haters.
The community of guys who like feet on dev art are actually super cool, very chill, and very sweet.Β This my first pic i ever posted, and from the start it was the really experienced foot fet guys that really took me in immediately, took care of me, answered any question or concern I ever had, and supported all of my self expression and fought off the jerks who criticized me for it.Β They wanted me to feel comfortable and safe and they did a great job.Β
I view the world through my feet, I feel like that's how I experience it and how I like to express it best.Β I loved it because I think that it focuses more on nature and form and less on the classical notions of woman & beauty in art in which case I would constantly be like wait am i making a pretty face? what's my mouth doing in that shot? whats up with my chin?Β There's a lot of pressure on women in art to be a classic beauty.Β My work is a type of macro photography that turns part of my body into a landscape and gives the viewer a place to be/explore/live in.Β That's what I love about this shot, it always feels like summer and warmth and like laying peacefully in the sheets.Β I'll always want to be in that space and I'd love for people to find that space in their own mind and just be warm for a little bit

Wow really? That's very nice to hear. And hear I thought that they were all just guys who were looking to for any chance they could get to hit on girls and treat them as objects rather than people.. You can sure be wrong about people. I myself think that feet are cute, I just don't sexualize them, so I've always been under the impression that anyone who did was a perverted weirdo. I'm happy to hear that I was wrong about a lot of them. But doesn't it ever bother you when you get comments about licking and stuff like that?
I've never once thought of it that way. That's pretty deep and emotional. But when I think about it, it's very true what you say about the classical notations of women's beauty in the arts. I'm happy that you've found a way to express your beauty in your own unique way. That's always a good thing.Β

I really enjoyed our exchange thanks for being open minded and for digging a little deeper.Β I was very worried about the whole thing at first and I think it all depends on context and where you're posting but the guys on here had a huge positive influence on my life and i hope I did the same.Β My ex bf was the guy who was into feet and i was with him for 6 years.Β We were pretty damn normal people lol he just liked giving foot rubs and loving them like he loved the rest of me.Β He's why i took my first shot
