Description

Davis Woodrow is April O’Neil’s best friend and does much with her. But when a mutagen accident turned him into a Komodo dragon, he couldn’t bring himself to let his friend see him like he was. It’s only when they finally meet that he discovers their friendship is still strong.

Personality
Davis is levelheaded, brave, temperate, and kind. He gets along well with others and tries to understand a situation better. His unconditional support and selflessness earn him the respect of those he cares about. Davis puts others before himself and looks out for their well-being.

Davis tends to be withdrawn and usually keeps to himself. He doesn’t like being disturbed and has his reasons for being by himself. His distance isn’t mistaken for coldness, even if it looks like so. Davis does spend time with others, even if it’s out of his comfort zone.

Davis values his friendships and makes good on his relationships. He cares deeply for his friends and never leaves anyone behind. His concern for his friends’ feelings means much to him, as shown when he distanced himself from April upon his mutation (though he did call her and let her know he’s okay at times).

Background
Davis lives in New York and met April on a school day. The two became best friends after a while and hung out from time to time. However, Davis was hit with a mutagen canister on his way home; the mutagen transformed him into a mutated Komodo dragon. Not wanting his friend to see his condition, Davis withdraws and goes into hiding while calling April and letting her know he’s ok.

While lying low in the town square, Davis notices April and the Friend Squad battling Dingodile. Seeing his best friend in danger forced him to jump in and take the attack and reveal himself to the others. When April recognizes him and asks in shock what happened to him, Davis can only apologize and vanish from sight. Alya, Donnie, Ratchet, and April enlist Quickdart’s help finding Davis; they find him through Quickdart’s sense of smell. April reconciles with his former friend, allowing Davis to join the team.

Powers and Abilities
Davis’ mutated condition gives him enhanced physical abilities. His strength, speed, endurance, and senses are now stronger than average. He can use his forked tongue to smell air particles and track targets.

Davis can camouflage himself and blend into his surroundings. His mutated genes allow him to become invisible to the naked eye. He can use this ability to avoid detection and hide from sight. Davis can also change his scale color to match the area.

Davis’ Komodo dragon DNA gives him venomous biology. His fangs inject venom for neutralizing and incapacitating enemies. The venom does have corrosive properties in his saliva that melts through steel. Davis’ venomous saliva weakens the opponent, draining them of stamina almost instantly.
