I'm not sure why it appeals to me, but I simply love it! The perspective is unique, capable of catching something so commonplace as a hand railing and recreating the way we think about them. The photo shows how the curves and luster of the object are often not appreciated, but always used for its intended purpose. The background is also interesting, with the building and the lone tree, perhaps a message of industrialism versus nature, or just something symbolic or poetic. On the photo itself, I think it the choice for black and white was a definite must, or the piece may lose its meaning; the shot is crisp too. Great quality...
