This was my contest entry for the Project Greenlight Quatre runway contest. The contest is over now, so I can finally post it here. I ended up second! Yay!

I drew him like this, in a very spontaneous pose. I deliberately chose not to make it seem like he posed for a camera, coz otherwise it might’ve been like he’s only wearing this kind of outfit because he’s a model and might as well take it off when the photoshoot’s over. This however, might as well been taken by a journalist, waiting for Quatre to leave the place, which means that he actually wears the clothes because he *owns* them. I used the effect “aged newspaper”, coz it might be that this is a picture in a fashion (or gossip) magazine, resurfacing after many many years, and still people will talk about the great Quatre R. Winner, successful business man who’s not afraid to subtly accentuate his love for the violin with a little silver earring. Misjudged by many for his soft and feminine appearance, but once he reveals his talents as an intelligent and sharp witted strategist, he will crush them with a smile.

I’ve done the coat and little scarf around his neck with washed ink, the leather gloves with bistre, or whatever it’s called in English. Background, coloring of rose and heart and the little stars done with Paintshop Pro.
