Description Once again, done onΒ www.dolldivine.com/hobbit-and-…

Not even meant to be historically accurate, just having fun in creating costumes. Have to admit, the play "Romeo and Juliet" has never been my favourite, don't really know why. I like drama and romance, but I don't like melodrama, and yes I consider this story to be more of a melodrama than tragedy. (Sure, it was tragic that happened to these two, but still, all that melodrama over love and all that... goodness!) Plus, the fact that Juliet was supposed to be barely 14 YEARS OLD at the time >> OH MY GOODNESS!!! Girls that young have no clue whatsoever about real love. Just my opinion after having lived through my teenage years...

well, one thing is that noble-born daughters married earlier, often in their teenage years back then, but yes, I admits that nowadays it feels like a over-used story: young girl and boy falling in love but their families is enemies and so on....

maybe good from the start but far too used in movies and such nowadays...

Beautiful outfits! Romeo doesn't look very male, though, but never imagined him to be such a "man" anyway, more of a capricious boy. Really nice sleeves, on both of them, and the colours and patterns chosen perfectly.

That thing about 14-years-old girls made it even into the Disney movies - Disney's Snow White was not older... it's quite creepy. And stupid, teenagers fall in love quickly, but they also get over it quickly - most of them don't really consider a failed love worth their lives.

btw, I love how you did the edge of Juliet's dress!

Thanks.

I recently came across a pic that showed the relative ages of all the Disney princesses > I was shocked! *.*

And here it's again - your favourite off-shoulders design and of course Renaissance sleeves .

In Juliet's outfit I like the skirt (very nice colour combination) and especially like her hairstyle.
With regard to Romeo's outfit - I can believe easily that it was fun to make .

And I had never liked the play too, although in my case it was because of its unhappy ending.

Thanks!

I really need to make more dudes in medieval-renaissance attire on the LOTR maker. They're so fun to do!
