Takes place just before the battle of Yorktown, Oceanus just received news that he's pregnant and Washington forbids him from participating in any further wars. Especially since he recently was attacked by a certain someone and the scar received from it is still healing.
Lots of angst because 1) Oceanus doesn't trust himself in raising a child plus gets bad dysphoria from it and 2) He still feels the urge to prove himself to his fellow soldiers, there's more weight on his shoulders because he's been hiding the fact he's trans from most of them since day one and being caught can result in severe punishment.
