my bed is where i am most vulnerable. when night comes i slip under my covers barely clothed shivering beneath the sheets. the room is dark as i wait for tiredness to take over.“take me soon.” i whisper into the black.
the silence answers me & i sigh. here is where i fall asleep, where i lie when i am ill, where one day you may be by my side as i snuggle against your heart. i give you my own heart. open, selfless, vulnerable in your arms.
