The mountains sang in tones we couldn't hear,
through the backdrop of wind
& passed ancient streams gone dry,
but the sound still reached us-
tucked away under a cloudless night
as we watched strands of dust, falling
through midnight skies, touching chords
that played melodies in our soul.
