I love the personal touches in the first photo such as the scab,
pen drawings, bracelet and dirt under the nails. It makes it feel
more real than prim and polished. Also, I don't think the textures
are needed. I believe this photo is perfectly fine without them. :]

Mhmm, I mean you could always have a texture, but that one
seemed a little off because it was just random slathers of paint
or something. Less is more! And raw/real overrules flawless!

I don't really know what to do when it comes to textures, I knew I wanted it more blue to give it a darker feel and the texture was what I was looking for, I also wanted a old photograph look to it as well, but I think it looks better without it now, cleaner
Well I do have some profile shots, I'm having another photo shoot with him this Friday as well

Have you tried searching textures here on dA?
There's some pretty good ones that I have found.
To do an aged look, go for ones with scratches.

I'll try it on some of the other images, but I guess it depends of the type of image, I mean, I'm not sure whether is would suit it, I think it would probably have to be black and white for it to good good
(He has a girlfriend ) But I think there will be some profile shots with him and her done tomorrow ^^
