Description “Was that really necessary?” Ellen asked me with a weak smile.
“Yes,” I replied with a grin.
We both sat down against some rocks, exhausted and in pain from what had just happened. We decided that since we could not get back to the camp that we would spend the rest of the day here.  It was kind of disturbing having to look at a decapitated dragon monster, but we could get over it.
I reached into my bag to see if there was anything to eat.  I couldn’t find anything, except the exploding berries, and I don’t think either of us was about to eat those.  I got up, getting ready to try to find some food.
“I’m going to go look for something to eat.  I’m starving,” I told Ellen.
“I’ll come too,” she said.
“Are you sure?  You seem pretty hurt.”
“No, I’ll be fine.”
“Okay.  Well, let’s go,” I said.  We walked around, but tried to stay relatively close to our new camp.  We eventually came to a strange patch of flowers that gave off a nice fragrance.   I picked one up, and looked at it.  No bugs on it and nothing weird oozing out of it.  It seemed okay.
“Tell me you’re not going to eat that,” Ellen said, with a look of disgust on her face.
“What’s the worst that could happen?”
“Well, for starters, you could die.”
“Huh.  Never thought of it like that.”
“So I noticed.”
“Still, I think I’ll eat it.”  I opened my mouth about to take a bite.
“I wouldn’t if I were you,” came a voice I hadn’t heard before.  Ellen and I looked at each other.
“Who are you?” Ellen asked.  Just then a boy in white robes with spiky white hair and blue eyes jumped down from a tree.  He looked really calm.
“Call me Ice.”  He had a calm tone to his voice, kind of unenthusiastic.
“Okay, Ice,” I said, “What are you doing here, then?”
“By the looks of it, I just saved your life.”
“Huh?”
“That’s right.  You see, that flower is dangerous.  Eating it could inevitably cause you to die.”
“Explain,” Ellen demanded.
“If I have to,” he said.  “When eaten that flower causes that person or thing to die.  After it has been eaten, within a three-minute period, that person or thing that ate it will suddenly erupt in flames.  And soon, they die.”
A look of shock crossed my face.  I put the flower down.
“Told ya!  I was right!  In your face!”  Ellen blasted comments at me.
“Yeah, yeah.  Who cares!”
“I do!”
“Will both of you just shut up?”
“What’s his deal?” I whispered to Ellen.
