The Rabhas belong to the Indo-Mongoloid group of people and have similarities with other members of
Bodo group (Garo, Kachari, Koch, Hajong, etc)
They live in Assam, West Bengal and Meghalaya.
In Assam they have the Rabha Hasong autonomous district council, mostly in Goalpara and Kamrup districts.
They follow the faith which is a blend of some Hindu and a few animistic rituals.
During WWII, the Japanese tried to court the native tribes, but the Rabhas remained loyal and contributed to Allied war effort.
