Tired of writing. There I said it.
I love my loyal readers and I will return to writing new stuff soon enough. I have one trade, one request and one contest entry to do before I can take on commissions. In the mean time I will be editing old story work until I can get my mojo back. Bare with my please. 
Comments and critiques are still welcome it just means no new material for a bit.If this is in the wrong category please tell me so I can move it to the more correct place.
This is a tribute to my friend Mandy aka who has quietly left DA on a hiatus for personal reasons. She is a great artist who did my 4000th page view years ago.
This here is an older work of Xull'rae she did for me and is gone from her gallery so I'm putting it here to share this beauty with my watchers. It was money well spent and I miss her. I hope to commission baby Xull'rae in the future.

Hey Lisa! Wow, it's great to hear from you! Yeah, I left DA a while ago, kind of quietly. I just wasn't making time for it like I wanted and if you can get any idea from the scarcity of new work in my art blog/website, my art production has gone WAY down. I wish that weren't the case, but I'm just not drawing as much as I once did. I'm hoping I'll get my groove back someday, but for now, I'm just slowing down and having fun doing other things - reading, mostly. And getting ready for the little one. I do have several commissions I'm trying to finish right now and that's why I'm closed - to make sure I can finish those before he comes in early July. And I'm unsure, after that, how much I'll be able to do. It was one thing to have one child - I'd just draw while she was sleeping. But this time around, I'll have a pre-schooler to entertain while the baby's sleeping, so who knows if I'll get any art done for a long bit! Heh heh. But I will certainly let you know when I'm able to take them again, once things have settled into a normal routine. And of course, you can upload the art I've done for you!
Anyhow, it's great to hear from you! I'd better head off and try to be a little productive...I'm fighting sleep right now, but need to get a little work done! ^_^

I think I commented on this one a while back, but I just wanted to say again how awesome this piece is. When I came to your page to Llama you, I saw it full size featured on your homepage (good choice!).
Also, I never X'ed it as one of the 'new deviations' in my inbox, so I see its thumnail every time I check it! (I also leave the 'cover art' for Ranger in a Strange Land that DameOdessa did there).
I think this piece as much or more than any other is how I see Xull'rae. It's the blend of glamorous beauty, and the faintly haunting and sad (but not defeated or depressed) facial expression.

Yes I believe you commented to me saying this was one of your favorite pics of Xull'rae. I'll feature this piece again sometime in 2011 I'm sure.

You should probably make a Ranger in Strange Land folder in your gallery and put your story in there for easy access. You should also make the same folder in your favs and put Farlas, Odessa and Xull'rae pics you faved in there.
I agree with you on what is true with Xull'rae. If her face isn't showing some devious smirk or dangerous glint in her eyes, (beware of both at the same time

Your reflections about Xull'rae are interesting - I felt the same way, and one of the prime things which came through to me when I wrote her, was how her violence feels like sort of a reaction against the world, and behavior that's been naturally ingrained, Pavlovian-style, as a function of her existence. Whereas Faralas had an upbringing (aristocratic human) which afforded the luxury of idealism at the expense of some self-preservation (hence his being seduceable by Odessa and Xull'rae).

Yeah this is one of my favorite portraits of Xull'rae. It's a good reference to use for her eyes and hair cause there is sooooo much of it there!

My pleasure to share it. It's been 4 years since I bought it and noticed it wasn't on DA anymore. Actually A LOT of my commissions aren't anymore so I'm slowly building a web page that will host all my Xull'rae images since I hate those photo sites and what I'm building will be personal. It just requires A TON of coding.

Oh wow. Yeah, web pages are not easy. Or rather, those that require coding. A friend told me it was easy; I promptly smacked him with a pillow and to shush up. It's not easy for those who don't have the kind of brain for it!

I'm building an online gallery of Xull'rae on my website but it will be a long time before I finish it so when I saw this, I fell in love with it again.

Yeah Anna is one of my favorite artists! She has never let me down.
You'll get a commission from her. She's real easy to buy from but I understand her price is high, but you'll get there I know you will. I'll help by commissioning you before 2010.
