Description Alice Liddell(misstitched version)@
series: Alice Madness Returns
event: International Cosplay Day Singapore
original photo by Kim Jim, edit by *xrysx

Just decided to cosplay Alice for the event as I happened to finish the costume around the time.

It was relatively easy to draft a puffy-sleeved top and a round skirt, but the pain was to manually sew 3 packs of blue bias to the top and 14 packs of red bias to the skirt. Shreded the bottom of the skirt and cut holes, then *sewed* white threads as the stitches to the skirt bottom and top sleeve joint areas. Cut the left sleeve to *stuff* in cotton. Love big buttons! Had fun making the horse-shoe neckpiece too. The skull behind at the big pink ribbon was customised too, but sadly hardly captured in shots. The overal costume is really heavy as the skirt is double-layered and so much ruffles around too.

Sleeve-warmers was made out of stockings as I just couldn't find the fabric in my area. Made buckled-straps to go with my boots.

The vorpal cleaver was made out of house-hold items as base and over with clay then sprayed. The blood was fun to smerge onto! The pain was the decorations and TEXT on the handler. Sprayed a few different color layers to create a tone.

The eyemakeup was fun too. I rarely have chances to apply smoky eyes!

Overal this cosplay was a long hassle to prepare, but extremely fun. I love Alice~~~ <3

Your sewing always looks so fabulous and I like your makeup! 8D
May I ask what material you used for the patterns on the pockets? Does it fray?

there are a few materials that don't fray easily. Felt, Velvet, Velveteen, PU, PVC.

however, if you are using fabrics that fray slightly, u can *lock* the edges by manual hand stitches ([link] ) or alternatively sealing the edges with glue or nailpolish.

don't use satin though because it will fray like crazy.

Oh thanks you so much! I used velvet before but I never thought of nailpolish or glue 8D!

Amazing! I always wanted to cosplay Alice in this outfit as well, but I was afraid it would look tacky - but you certainly proved it can look stylish and creepy awesome at the same time!! You're a perfect Alice!! <3
