Description
Very relieved to say that it is done finally...Oil paints take all the time they need to dry and this here wasn't an exception, with work almost on a daily basis it took me one month to complete. The photo was taken before varnishing, as after that it might be very hard to view with the shine of the varnish on.
Size is 75x112 cm (oil paints on canvas) and it is the first of the several to follow for my solo show on September.

The process has been an amazingly interesting one, especially with glazing and scumbling techniques over the basic layer (dead layer)

τωρα γελαω πολυ μ'αυτο "Μια επισημανση μονο...αυτος ο τυπος πιο πανω που σου 'βρηκε' λαθη, πρεπει να κοπιασε παρα πολυ για να τα βρει." ο καθενας βλεπει οτι διαλεγει να δει σε ενα εργο τεχνης και αυτη ειναι η μαγεια της τεχνης, για τον καθενα μας αντιπροσωπευει κατι διαφορετικο.
και σαφως τα δικα μου εργα δεν εχουν το "αλαθητο" ολοι λαθη κανουμε και δεν ειναι κακο αυτο γτ ετσι μαθαινουμε ολοι μας. (τα αγαπαω τα λαθη μου οπως βλεπεις 
τα χρωματα παντως δεν ειναι τα πραγματικα στην φωτογραφια που τραβηξα αν και προσπαθησα να το φερω στα ισια του με φοτοσοπ αλλα εχω παρει μεγαλη ικανοποιηση γτ στην πραγματικοτητα φαινεται τελειο.

Μα βρε Χριστινακι μου, αυτο που νομιζεις εσυ ή καποιος αλλος οτι ειναι λαθος, στην πραγματικοτητα, σε ενα εργο της δικης σου εμβελειας, δεν ειναι στην ουσια λαθος.....δεν ψαχνουμε την απολυτη ρεαλιστικη απεικονιση...ψαχνουμε την ομορφια και την κομψοτητα, που να εισαι σιγουρη οτι τα εχει η τεχνη σου στον μεγιστο βαθμο....Φυσικα και να μου στειλεις το link...να μαθουμε κατι και εμεις..

tiganusi has written a really good critique and I would agree with most (if not all) of what they've said. Overall this is such a good painting though, and I particularly like how you've changed her gaze so that she is looking at herself rather than down (she looks a bit bored/bland in the original reference). Once again I love how you've played with the colours - your paintings are always a piece in their own right, not just a copy of an original. Looking forward to seeing more of your work in the future!

God she is just beautiful in all ways. Having seen this right from the beginning and all the way through I can say she just was always going to be stunning right from the start and she certainly lived up to every bit of that. I have already commented on all parts of her but I want to say that as wonderful as she appears here, I can't wait to see her in person, and especially once Dennis gets a chance to frame her up properly as well. My very favourite part of her, is the fact I can so clearly see you in all parts of her, and that your use of these wonderful paints, and your brushwork is beyond stellar. I said that I can feel myself close to her as she stares into the mirror, and I love how this scene, the way you have painted it, so completely pulls the viewer in.
I also must say that your dedication is wonderfully stated, and shows true appreciation of the support you receive.

she is lifted up to the wood panel now waiting to dry relatively. I need to sign her and varnish her, after that i will cover her with a cotton fabric so she can dry without get dusted.
i have a tiger now staring at me here, huge paws under the water, wet dripping jaws, crystal blue green waters. Lets see what i make of it.

It sounds like she is well taken care of now. Once dry she will be varnished and well protected.
The tiger already sounds amazing, there is so much going on in your description alone, I can't wait to see it take to life. I bet you have a great time with it, and of course I am very excited to see the results as you progress through it.

you remember the clear gesso i applied before i start coloring the tiger? the one you mailed the company to ask if it seals against SID too? thanks god i remembered your e mail. So i dumbed the acrylics and i am using oils instead
better this way.

thank you Paul, i was staring at it for so long non stop that i think i lost perspective in the end... i wanted to check my time with the size and media and i dont feel super fast admittedly, almost one month to finish this...
anyway the good thing is i have already started the next 70x110cm (a tiger swimming in the water) and the ripples on the water will be killing me. Or i will be killing it!
we shall see which is which
