um..okay, firstly, I hope you were not offended by the way I used the quote.
okay, so...Kaneki said this: the statement (well flash backs at this statement) during the last few chapters before he (mentally) transformed into a ghoul (well, rize kinda rubbed it in his face right before hand as well). It was his foundation of believe to self sacrifice so it though it was a important part of the change that happened to kaneki. Its is also one of the statements made in the manga when you first saw the physical change that happened to kaneki (chap 61). About what he said when he (mentally) transformed, if I am correct, should be -''I am a ghoul'' (last page of chap 63)
I wanted to emphesis the fact he no longer believes in his/his mother's principles that you should sacrifice yourself though all the torture. I guess I used it because I wanted to show the irony of how his ideology no longer fits the statement. I am not sure how it's put down in the anime but I drew this way before the anime reached the point of Kaneki's transformation.
Any hows Xd sorry for the long rambling, just wanted to make myself clear of my intentions .
