First of a series of drawings of Olympian Gods...From left to right:
-Zeus/Jupiter
-Aphrodite/Venus
-Athene/Minerva
-Hermes/Mercury
-Hera/Juno
With their attributes-
-Zeus: lightning bolt, golden scepter
-Venus: golden apple, flowers, doves
-Athene: spear, olive branch, book, aegis
-Mercury: winged hat
-Hera: crown, silver scepter, peacock eyes

Thank you so much, I’d like to see that book! Anyway, I was loosely inspired by the style of John Flaxman and by Edward Burne-Jones’ “Aeneid” and woodcuts – beautiful stuff.
