Description Again, more art of one of the breeds of dog I am enamoured with; the New Guinea Singing Dog.

Their rather plain, pariah dog look belies their very fascinating behavior. They are a very ancient breed, one could see them as something caught between being domestic and wild. And they are incredibly cat like in their flexibility, their ability to climb trees, as well as their personality [link] . It's a shame that this breed is in serious danger of becoming extinct.

But words or this picture doesn't do them justice. Its best to see these guys in action [link]

This format was totally inspired by the recent works of souls-poison [link] I drew the original [link] on Lokta paper, which is made from the bark of a Nepalese plant that can be harvested continuously without harming it. In fact it actually is beneficial to the plant; truly a renewable resource [link]

I did the inking on this paper (which was a challenge to my eraser-happy self) because I wanted some of the texture to show through.

The pose is kind of boring, I know. My hope is the decorative elements made up for it.

I've seen these dogs before and they truly are really cute. The inking style is very interesting, it will be cool to see more of it.
