Description
In estonian the title is: The time of Love.Well, it is done 2004. oil on canvas. 800 x 1200 mm. and i used here a reference pic (Eric Mcnatt, Cosmopolitan) for figures and the basic of light and glothing.
Some find it horrible and expressing negative experiences... some find this picture is filled with love... ehhh...
p.s. please, take a look of details... theyr littlbit better.

I love the strong crimson. It's absolutely gorgeous. But one thing that bothers me is the expression on the man's face. It seems blank...his eyes look sort of glazed over...he doesn't seem too happy. XD

its a very nice painting.worth watching, C n C and favourite.but in some areas it seems u really lose the control.specially the right hand of the male, chest etc.and is it the complete canvas or there's some cropping problem?

Like a few of your previous commentators, I don't see love in this painting at all. It's like a photograph of two people that outwardly look like they're in love, but their true feelings toward each other are staining the should-be picture-perfect image. All that red... it's very unsettling. I feel they're about to kill each other or something. Lol.

Yes, You got the point very well! First i do as exellent painting as i can... so i can be sure adding layers for sure... it is impossible to fix anything on figures later on.

I don't see love. The woman looks older to me, and in control. The guy looks week and his eyes seem to plead for something. He doesn't look happy. The red says 'antagonism' to me. Very good quality work though.

Happy to read that! When i was painting it i saw it very similary... i wanted to look like that (woman in control, and guy in desperate need of help). But all other views are very welcome and am open to them, because they show something more about my work and about others... it is interesting. Thank You!

A lot can be read into other people's interpretations of images. People's perception has a lot of the subconscious mind in it.

No, it's the cover of a romance novel who's owner was butchered by a jilted lover or a jealous husband. Or maybe not.

I just remebered... one of my latest thought's was that it is a photograph found from the crime place. I don't know from whose pocket... don't know what happened... rape, something exploded in some market or night-club... have no idea... but something has happened, something...

everyone's perception is different... and drawn from personal experience.
Personally I think this is a great capture and to me it represents balance... I see love from it... and the hard times that come with love and commitment.
