Description
My good friends from Witchking band are releasing a full length CD now, I'm responsible for the whole desing shit for them...All stuff is painted and edited in Photoshop, without the tablet (maybe I'll buy some soon hah). I've done it without using any textures (It was my conquest to do everything in almost traditional way ha ha). I hope you'll enjoy it...

Co do Nepenthe to tak powazna zwloka spowodowana jest finalnym wypasaniem calosci w Jolly Roger Studio u Strzaly i Racka.

holy god, man, that is some good drawing right there. how did you do it?

haha, just mouse and photoshop. It's done in very clasic way, first step was the drawing in grayscale, then came layers that gave colour.
Doing this work I invented a trick how to draw this thick hairs. It's very simple: just draw many lines on the new layer, than check the field "lock transparent pixels", then use brighter and darker colours than on the background (imagine the light shining from the behind). Sometimes is also good to set a lower opacity.

nice, and that does help. i do some drawing myself, with a tablet, and im trying to learn some techniques to do digital painting....the most i've gotten away with is some abstract smudge tool art and a couple rough drawings; right now im in the process of designing a logo for both of my bands.
