The moment she realizes that in losing her special magical powers she has not only lost her immortality and responsibilities, but has placed this heavy burden on someone else whom she has now condemned to a life which nearly broke herself. And even now, when it would finally be possible to be happy, she realizes that she will carry this guilt and will be sad forever about it.
