Yup, and lots of ponies have been turned into pony puddles from being in the oven too long. (That's the only way to cure Sculpey. XD By baking it)

Using synthetic hair (like in a wig) is a great idea for practicing. Here is a pony that I rehaired using wig hair. [link] I liked it so very much that I used it again on this custom [link]
Also, you can make your own rehairing tool if you are at all crafty; I don't buy mine anymore. I bought one in 2007 to see the design and I've made mine myself ever since. They just break too easily to purchase all the time, IMO.

What part breaks?? And what in specific breaks it??
I bought a baity G3 giant stylin' pony to custom..will the rehair tool work on those and uhm..how much hair do I need for one?? Do you know?

Typically it's the needle that breaks off of a rehairing tool. Then you either throw the tool away or you have to yank the needle out of the wooden dowel and replace it with another.
Usually, trying to insert a plug of hair that is too large for the hole is the main cause of breaking needles, but it can also happen if you aren't careful of the angle during insertion and removal of the needle into and out of the holes.
Practice is really the only way I know to extend the life of a tool; I typically break mine in two to three rehairs myself..
I've never rehaired a styling pony myself, but I've never heard of any instances where the tool wouldn't work. I think I read somewhere that a Styling pony takes three packages of nylon hair (pre-packaged like from Dollyhair.com or the like) to completely rehair a Styling pony.

Three packages? Is that including tail??
Wow sounds like the tool is quite flimsy then O.O; I hope ifI buy oneI dont break it on first go..eee.

I saw the stylin' peacock! Honestly, if I won lotto!!! *faints*
Mine is a unicorn with really stuffed hair and has been drawn on with pink vivid..looks like..regrind is it?? but its a G3 so more likely vivid. I cant afford the other stylin ponies out there..so im going to try chopping off the horn and putting something in its place...shouldnt be too hard and kinda fun hehehee.
It will be an attempt at my pony Ebony Ties..though I think I havent ordered enough hair O.O;
She has three colours..a white fringe, black mane and tail..with lime green streak in both. *crosses fingers*
Im so excited though!!! I live on mlpA too XD
