Description Specimen N95 is a proposed individual of a speculated population of deep-ocean modulates . There is thought to be some evolutionary relationship between this individual and its population, and the Soruica Ring-eel , which some biologists think stems from a common ancestor of both which was able to float freely in space.

The individual has characteristics of other modulates, particularly its head armor, and what are thought to be similarly-composed fin claws to the claws of the Numos impendens species. It has deep-ocean characteristics as well, such as large eye sockets and sclerotic ring-like bones which might have a role in vision similar to shutter blades on a camera.

N95 has never been proven to exist beyond legend, however, and while it exists prominently in the media of atmospheric colonies, and are hypothesized to be related to modulates and have a common ancestor which is the ancestor of the ring-eels and all Impendian modulates, no fossils of this species have ever been found and it currently is not seriously considered by the majority of the evolutionary biology community.
