Original piece. It's a modern-day oni who likes to scare temple maidens. =.=Something that started out as a quick paint that I was aiming to finish in one sitting, but in the end I had 3 goes at it.

I love it! The oni looks like a celebratity faced with reports. (the pushing the "camera" away) I'm not sure if the shrine maiden is scared, or just shocked to actually see an oni! Beautiful work, wonderful concept.

As others have said it's really awesome the way this picture simple -is-
By far my favorite just has to be the moernization of the Oni, who doesn't really llook like he synchs up but damn it all, he's trying!

I love her expression, but in my eyes, the Oni's up for a platter beating, cause her fear reminds me of someone surprised, but who quickly jumps into action. There might be some oni horn bents on that platter soon ;]
He truly is an oni, the way you've drawn him, he fits in with the whole scenery, but is so weird, you can tell he doesn't really 'fit in' with the reality.
The sky you've painted is beautiful, all those colors mixed together...Just stunning, i'm kinda glad you had so many goes at it, cause it ended up looking real nice and having more character then it probably would have if you've finished it in one go
