Wreck-It Ralph’ Sequel Coming in 2018Walt Disney Animation Studios just confirmed a Wreck-It Ralph sequel will be opening in theaters on March 9, 2018. Original voice cast members John C. Reilly and Sarah Silverman will be reprising their roles as Ralph and Vanellope von Schweetz, and Wreck-It Ralph director Rich Moore (who also helmed the box office blockbuster Zootopia) and producer Clark Spencer are also on board the sequel. Wreck-It Ralph writer Phil Johnston is co-directing and working on the script.

Disney Animation takes about 4-5 years make an animated movie.
WiR came out Nov. 2 2012. Disney isn't going to green light it right away so if you figure it was late 2013/early 2014 before they get started on it

Terrific news. But I think the sequel could've been done sooner. I mean, Shrek or Madagascar had a smaller time gap between the sequels.
