The only game i was glad i preordered. You really needed the guide to rescue the witch. How the hell was anyone supposed to know they had to put on a damn hat?

Oh how I want this game.... My friend gave me Dark Souls for Christmas, but everyone I watch on YouTube plays Demon's Souls, and I'm actually really interested in that game. But of course, I can't just walk into a Gamestop and buy it because I have to be older than 17 since this game is rated "M" -_-

I'm on my first playthrough and it isn't that hard. Sure it had a moment or two that frustrated me, so far, but I can't say its an unforgiving game or doesn't have any fairness to it.

I had a bit of trouble with Armor Spider and Tower Knight.

Adjudicator. Only because like Finn from Adventure Time I wanted to do it my way. The way I ended up doing and and was afraid to do it was the easier way. Also Satsuki as a black phantom showed up too.....yeah....should tell you how much suck I was doing at that point.
Armor spider I literally stood there and hurled fireballs at it while healing and using old spice.
Maneaters are giving me a pain and shrine of storms level two with boletaria level three are hard. The mines. They were lovely little walks.

Not really its the easiest boss fight, its more of don't get hit and smash barricades. Hope you have soul arrow. That being said the man eaters terrify me. Even though I use the fog gate strategy I can't seem to land a hit on the second one.

No you gotta slam two pointy things into his neck to pin him on the ground then you slice his face off. After that if you don't have pure white world tendancy in the mines before the fight but after just go to nexus and return to claim the dragonbone smasher.

wasnt that hard the first 2 or 3 times but after that the following playthroughs really got on my nerves especially new #7 (no more patience to grind for levels anymore)

one of my favorite games... i cryed so hard when i had enought souls for 3 lv ups and died then died again before reclaiming them

I beg to differ, I say its the other way around, Dark Souls was simple, I had more sense of accomplishment with Demon's Souls.

True because dark souls seems harder at first but the only real problems you face first playthrough are biggie and smalls, the cheapshot kings and gwyn lord of brutality

I think if you play Demon Souls first you have before hand training for Dark Souls. Dark Souls is technically harder, but I do hear from a lot of people that they prefer Demon Souls. I think it's because, at the time you first played Demon Souls you'd never played anything like it before. For people who start with Dark Souls, they think Demon Souls is easier since they started out with the updated game play. Both games are very difficult in their own right and are both fantastic games. <3

I just bought it. It's hard sure, buuuut:

I love that is both a technical and a fast-paced action RPG without being too clunky or too easy. It requires you to analyze the situation and act accordingly rather than just plow through a bunch of mindless enemies. Every single unit has an idea of how to stop you and you've got to be one step ahead of them. truly a well crafted game.

i'm 5 hours into the game and the question pops....how. the. F*%@K am i supposed to kill those big ass Dragon's with the stupid TOOTHPICKS i'm carrying??? that damned red eyed knight keeps kicking my ass for God's sake!

actually it is very hard! but the more you get the hang of it it really can be easy as long as you keep your shield up and know when to strike and know your limits! X3

This is the first game for a long while that has actually had some sort of challenge for me

I don't understand why everyone thinks this game is "hard." The enemy AI is so stupid it's hilarious, only certain black phantoms (Satsuki, Scirvir) pose a real challenge, most difficult bosses (Flamelurker, Maneater, False King) can be "cheese" beaten without any real effort at all. Seriously after 1 playthru anyone with half a brain should be able to pick the game apart. I will admit though, trying to play the game with only fist weapons can be a real challenge.
