Yeah, I know I said before that I would try to stop posting about this particular controversy.

But I tried to explain this multiple times to someone...And they continued to claim that I wanted to ban all guns anyway. So my explanation on this just went ...Right over their head every time I gave it.

So I'm only going to say this once and no more.

Just because I wish that we ban one particular overly abused sports rifle that keeps resulting in dozens of innocent people dead in each isolated incident does NOT mean I want to ban ALL guns.

This is called a Slippery Slope.

If your first reaction to a shooting is to think "NOW TEH LIBTARDS ARE GONNA TAKE MAH GUNS AWAY!" then you need to sort out your priorities. Please, loosen up your tinfoil hats a little and realize how just how stupid and suicidal that would be.

Personally, I don't like guns mostly because I'm sensitive to loud noises...But also because they're such a harbinger of death to me. Just looking at one holstered makes me squirm uncomfortably. I'm terrified of them. But they're still necessary. What about protecting yourself from burglars? Rapists? Other criminals? The most effective protection would be a gun. At least a handgun.

Keep your handguns.

Keep your hunting rifles. (I don't completely agree with hunting either, but you do you...)

Keep these guns for sports, target ranges, and for self-defense of your house, loved ones, and property.

But do you really need an AR15 ? I don't think so.

...Unless there was some zombie-apocalypse or a complete collapse of the government and total anarchy suddenly breaks out, but I don't really see that happening anytime soon.

Why aren't handguns and hunting rifles good enough? Because of "style" preferences? I'm sorry, but fuck your "style preferences." People's lives should matter more to you than your fucking "style preferences."

And whoever IS advocating the banning of all guns is a dense motherf*cker who's likely to get us all fucking killed with that idea.

And I swear, if one more lawmaker wants to blame "violent videogames" on gun violence, I'm gonna email them a shit-ton of scientific studies which prove that's 100% bull-fucking-shit .
