Description Just because it's animated does NOT mean it's kid-friendly!

This goes in hand with the stupid myth of "You're too old to watch cartoons!"

"Captain Underpants" is kid-friendly. What kid wouldn't like a hilarious movie filled with potty-humor and a fat, clumsy guy running around in his underwear?

But if you took your kids to go see "Sausage Party"––which was rated R––and then complained about its content, you're a dumbfuck and you deserve to have an animation desk thrown at your head because you were stupid to assume that because it's animated "IT MUST BE FOR KIDS!!1!one!!" and you didn't bother to check the rating on it.

Not everything that's animated is meant for kids. The Simpsons, Family Guy, American Dad!, Futurama, Rick & Morty, everything animated on Adult Swim = NOT FOR KIDS. For fuck's sake, the title "Adult Swim" should be a big obvious hint about the content of their shows.

Hell, a lot of Japanese anime and manga are not kid-friendly either. Attack on Titan, Claymore, Panty & Stocking, Fullmetal Alchemist, Death Note, Elfen Lied, Parasyte...I've even had adult friends have nightmares after watching Attack on Titan.

Disney is kid-friendly. DreamWorks is kid-friendly. Nickelodeon is kid-friendly. Blue Sky, Sony, Laika, etc...Most of those studios produce kid-friendly content. But that doesn't mean that everyone else who produces animated shows/movies is making them with kids in mind.

My 18-year-old brother is watching Futurama right now:

Me: "Would you consider this show as 'kid-friendly'?"
Him: "No."

Case in point, use Good Parenting 101: don't be a stupid dick, check the MPAA ratings or the TV ratings first, and if it has swearing or other explicit content...Don't let your kids see it unless you think they're ready for it.

And don't blame your carelessness and stupidity on the movie/show either! You're the stupid dick who accidentally let your kids see it, so the fault is ALL on you.
