Overview: Gorgnia is a ancient kaiju that once existed in the Permain period. She resemble a Gorgonopsid and most people believe that she may have been one of the courses of the extinct event known as 'The Great Dying'.

Origin: In 1995 Gorgonopsid fossils were found at a construction site in South Africa. They are taken to an expert paleontologist named Albert Carter for analysis. It was revealed to be a totally new species a totally, they were then put away in the fossil archives at Cape Town for safe keeping.

However, there was a fire in the archives the next day, many of the speciems were destroyed during the fire but the bones of the gorgonops survive. After retreving the bones, Carter checks for any damage to the fossils, he finds that the fire burnt the fossil slightly but has revealed strange markings on them, like some sort of ancient language. Carter began to study the markings, compearing them to similar carvings from ancient cultures, but he could never work out what they meant.

10 years later, a kaiju attack the city of Cape Town.As it destroyed the city, it appeared to be searching for something. When it reached Carter's lab, the monster began chant words in an unknown language as it stood outside the building. After it had stopped chanting, a second monster erupted from the building. It beared striking resemblance to a gorgonopsian. Gorgnia now returns after 250 million years.

The first kaiju then begins to get ready to fight. But before it attacks, Gorgnia unleashes a beam of volcanic energy from her mouth, which instantly kills the monster that awoke it, blasting it's head into pieces. Gorgnia then ran off towards the mountains.

After Gorgnia is gone, Carter them returns to the mass of rubble that was once his lab, he finds many fossils still intact in the rubble, but the gorgonopsid bones are missing, leaving him to think that the monster that fled to the mountains was revived from the bones of the gorgonopsid.
