Syndra: Fan Dryads don't eat people.

Fanriel: No look that's a Dryad, behind that tree.
I cant believe im seen one.

Syndra: Yeah, Dryads rarely manifest their physical form to people and its never good.

Fanriel: why?

Syndra: Something must have been happening to the forest that they can't control, lets go talk to her and find out.
Don't do sudden movements or speak to loud, she will get scared and disappear.

Dryads the spirits of the forest. Dryads born by oak trees and its belived that they live as long as the tree they inhabit, they are peaceful spirits that share part of gaia's consciousness and take care and protect the forest and it's creatures.
They are very shy and it is very rare for them to manifest their physical form to people, if they have to they often prefer to interact with them by other means.
Dryads have the ability to change the layout of the forest vegetation, good natured as they are they often playing tricks on unsuspecting travelers, often those with shadow in their hearts
by making them lost and let them walk in circles.
When they come to realise they may be in trouble by getting lost, how presius their life is and how foolish would be to die meaningless death, lost and alone. The Dryads would then lead them back to the right path
That may sound cruel of them to do to a person but in reality it give them time to think and reflect, get away from their problems and realise the importance of life.
before they let them go though Dryads would lead them to a tresure often in a form of a charm that would always remind them that
there is more for them in life than what got them down and almost gave up in the first place.
