Well he can block the stream but not to parry it. And besides, there's no parrying in KOF games.
Also, he's 'too' invincible that no one can imagine seeing him being defeated like Ryu (SF). Terry is not like that. He's more 'realistic' than Ryo does.
So I make Ryo lost there. To at least remind to everyone that no one is really 'tough', even in games.
And lastly, it's a comic strip. ANYTHING can happen in C.strips.
