Description
Robin Lord Taylor as Oswald Cobblepot, AKA The Penguin. Watercolour and india ink on canvas paper (Originally 9X12, trimmed down to slightly bigger than 8.5X11.5 to fit the gorram scanner bed). Maaaan, it's been a while -- college, I think? So about 20 years! -- since I've worked with india ink or watercolour (save for a painting with really crappy watercolours -- more like ink than watercolour -- last year). This was actually the second attempt at this piece -- the first was a disaster, with the proportions all off! XD I think this one turned out pretty well, so I'm glad I tried again! Yes, I used salt on the background. For the inking, I used brushes, no pens. Three photorefs used -- a photoshoot, a press shoot, and a publicity still.

Taylor is supposed to be at Dragon Con in a few days, so hopefully I will have be able to give this to him, and have him sign a copy for me! <3
