Description Wolf-Chalk said the following:

Alice remembered lending a ear to a stranger once, Opal, because she hadn't liked seeing the girl in pain. But that was different, Alice had been in control of the situation. She'd been the beacon, not the one suffering herself. Alice was too proud but she was lonely and in pain. She clenched her eyes tightly, wishing for Vincent to come and help ease the aches. The nightmares of the cougar and the results of its attack still left Alice reeling.

"How does one move forth," she said, breathing a heavy sigh. She slumped her shoulders, Alice looking down. "When she is too hurt to do so?"

amoniwolf said the following:

Listening to her words, Strannik got a sympathetic expression. "It's different for each dog. You still have nightmares. Don't you?" He hopes this wouldn't be too rude of a question to ask her. His blue gaze Locked on Alice. He remembered the times before he ran away from his old life. All the pain. All times that he had no one there for him when he needed it most. But he had pushed his way threw it. He had survived it. He was proud of it too.

But seeing Alice clinged, it burned his heart. He didn't want anyone else suffering like he had. Through pain.. And through knowing, no one is there for them.

Wolf-Chalk said the following:

"It's silly, I know. Incredibly selfish as well that I feel this way when my friend had it much worse." Alice held herself together despite how she clenched her eyes closed. "But I can't forget... and... and these ugly wounds. They will scar."

amoniwolf said the following:

"It is not be selfish to have nightmares about things that traumatize you. It's only selfish if you hide how you feel about the nightmares from ones who wish to help." Strannik spoke softly to the poor Alice.

Wolf-Chalk said the following:

"I'm still... affected from my time out there," Alice confessed, pulling her shawl closer to herself as if it would help the unease. "I don't know how to feel, its a eat or be eaten world. I never knew pain."

amoniwolf said the following:

"It is eat or be eaten, but surviving something like that is a blessing it will help you expect what is to come out there and teach you what you can do better." Strannik watched her, proving that she was uneasy talking about this topic, but he wanted t help.

Wolf-Chalk said the following:

"But I never belonged out there," Alice replied softly, feeling her voice hitch. "I never belonged HERE!" The spaniel let herself lay down, resting her muzzle between her dainty paws. She didn't want to seem weak willed nor selfish but it was hard. For once she really felt the impact of her inadequate position in the harsh frontier.

amoniwolf said the following:

He laid down to level himself with her and then he looked at her, "Then where do you think you belong?" Strannik felt horrible for Alice, he watched her, his ears flat with concern for this poor dog, not knowing where she belonged, or if she belonged in this cold terrain that they lived in.

Wolf-Chalk said the following:

"I belonged back in my beautiful France," she uttered, homesick as she raised her green eyes to the male. "Where does a dog like me fit in?"

From a RP Alice is having with amoniwolf 's Shrannik ~
Alice is suffering from many emotional onslaughts brought on from her time in the wilderness with Tiva and Willie. From a combination of the harsh frontier, the cougar, learning not all humans are kind and living as a feral animal rather than a dog, she's left reeling and feeling alone.

It's a beautiful piece with very nice atmosphere in it! It looks like out of a older beautiful animated movie (like Balto).
You can tell from their expressions what they talking about.
Characters and Background fit together perfectly.

There's only one tiny thing I've to criticize: The Outlines of the female Dog.
They're a little to similar to her color, so it's a bit hard to recognize her shape where her Body/Head overlap. (For Example: Her Paws, haven't seen them at first.)
Maybe you could do a soft shading there or just darken the Outlines a bit.
