Do you find your self doing a normal painting then using polygonal lasso to tighten it all up. It would be interesting to see the steps for these. Both are looking great.

Looks good but if I may offer some constructive criticism. The brightest part of her hair is so bright I didn't see it at first. I thought it was part of the background. Around the shoulders on both sides of her body you've got white space. I'm unable to resolve whether its hair or not. While I see that you want it to be blindingly bright compared to the rest of her hair, it needs some slight hue to connect it to her.
I really love this polygonal work. I think everyone who grew up with n64/ps1 graphics has an affinity for the look. The thing that you've got to keep in mind is that polygonal pictures are decidedly unorganic. There are certain adjustments to lighting and composition that need to be made to separate elements of a picture. Scale of the polygons is quite important. Different planes should have different resolutions of polygons. Subject, foreground, background. If they are too similarly sized it ends up having a flat "stained glass" look. Which is a valid format, but it might not be the one you intend.
Sorry if i'm being too picky. I think it would be great if you pursue this style. I don't know your art education so I'm just trying to be honest and helpful.
