Description One day I was sitting in my workshop and doing magic experiments. Suddenly there was a knock on my door. It is worth saying that my door is far enough away from the entrance to the tower, which at the moment there was no one but me, so I was a little surprised. The sound was similar to the impact of something heavy, like a hammer, but they knocked very carefully.

I opened the door. The next moment, I almost dropped my jaw, because there was a damn real dabus standing outside the door (or, to be precise, hanging in the air)! I have never seen these creatures in person, but I have heard about them from the stories of those rare travelers who managed to visit Sigil.

Dabus looked dispassionately, I invited him to "enter" and he sailed deep into the room. How he got here was no less a mystery than the symbols that began to pop up over his head. Dabuses talk in rebuses, have you heard about it? They create magical symbols that circle in the air above their horned heads, and go figure out what they mean there... Fortunately, this instance seemed to be interested in me understanding it, so the puzzles were more like a completely coherent text. Nevertheless, it was funny.

With a little effort, I realized that he seemed to want me to draw his portrait, and immediately. As a sign of persuasiveness, he put on the table a heavy bag with copper coins, from which, however, there was a strange cadaverous smell... However, it would be incredibly interesting for me to capture this specimen myself. So I immediately put aside my current work and took up the brush.

When asked why he needed a portrait, this strange dabus showed a new rebus over his head, which, alas, I could not solve, but it glowed all the time while I was drawing, so I decided that this rebus, apparently, should also be present in the picture. Dabus nodded in the affirmative.

The rest of the time he hung in the air without moving, so you can say it was the most grateful nature that I have ever painted. The work was completed pretty quickly, I drew with inspiration and tried to depict him in the colors that, in my opinion, should have been in his hometown. I showed Dabus the work, he nodded affirmatively, stretched out his hand, took the painting, and after giving out a new rebus, he flew out the door, closing it behind him...

After that, I searched the entire tower and carefully examined the main entrance door, but I did not find any signs of a portal. This case still remains a mystery to me, but at least he left behind this strange image, which I managed to translate into a magical form to show you.
