Description
Summary of Far Beyond Saga: As the hardships from the events of The War for Power become more widespread within the Known Universe, rumors float about of REEF’s supposed ongoing concept of leaving the realm for good, only to become another’s problem, with their inevitable greed, callousness, and unnecessary acts of violence against its inhabitants. Our heroes must venture out of their comfort zone, to do battle once more, unaware that old ills barely rest forever. Souls of slain warriors, an empire on the brink of total anarchy, a small and isolated culture of feral orphans, and a far greater conspiracy are just the tip of an iceberg of adventure, mystery, action, and suspense. (Author’s Note: This is a long stretch, BUT: by getting Marvel involved, Disney happened to gain access to Capcom (And maybe some other universes that came into contact with Capcom), and with 20th Century Fox, SEGA (Because most of the Alien Vs. Predator games are distributed or developed by the same team who gave you Sonic the Hedgehog. And probably be linked to other titles made by or distributed by SEGA). It’ll be more of video game characters, but I predict that some Disney loveables will make some canon cameos. Let’s not forget the possibility of Sora getting a spotlight in Soul Calibur.)
Characters/Factions:
1. Quath Nechern- In the Age of Fairy Tales, he was known to be a menace to society for dabbling in necromancy in order to attack the Holy Treaty of Gesterwein that had defeated his army of summoned monsters from a Plane of Existence, eight years prior to the events of Kingdom Hearts: Union X. His goal is to establish a hellish, totalitarian rule in the name of the Nechern household, which was a family of feared and powerful sorcerers and devil-worshippers. An avid worshipper of the Deep Darkness god Huxllevcag, Quath discovered his family legacy after murdering an orphan, whom he considered a trespasser, in his home, and was consulted by an idol of the feared god to bring him back to life as an undead assassin. He then used the resurrected boy to seek out and murder his enemies who were responsible for his defeat against the Holy Treaty. When he came cross Smoke during his quest to find the lost Nechern heirloom, a scroll containing the necessary steps to invoke the Deep Darkness pantheon, said to be crafted from human skin, Smoke offered to give the newly-self-appointed necromancer his willpower, essence, and strength in exchange for a powerful trinket that would locate Heartless and Nobodies for a “rude idea”. At first, Quath had heard stories of his exploits and antics, mostly of his trickery, but decided that he could not pass on an offer like that. Immediately after surrendering his “Darklight” trinket, Smoke breathed all of his powers into a powder, and gave it to Quath. The demonic spirit then instructed the Nechernian to rub the powder all over him, and as he did so, he began to twist and contort into a monstrous form, yet Quath did not complain; all the more to terrify his opponents, he imagined. Yet, there was another reason for this mutual trade, for one must see, Smoke feared that if he were to be defeated, there would be no way to reincarnate. He had learned how to create a separate duplicate of himself, and was able to transfer everything that he is capable of into a cloud of smoke. With this, Quath Nechern was aided by Ghlonks and Ghlorgs in destroying and conquering many lands, along with his newly acquired Blades of the Dead, great warriors who were slain by Uko-Gij during his conquests, their souls forced to fight on his behalf. His rampage, however, came to an abrupt end during the seizure of the Sautaegian Empire in Mahuag. It was here that a young, mute maid, who originated from the wilderness, confronted the mad sorcerer, armed with only a wand made from the most transparent glass or crystal. She used this instrument with a flick of her wrist to turn the ravaging Ghlonk army into crystal statues, which crumbled at the touch of the coming eastern wind. In spite of this, Quath Nechern refused to heed this mysterious girl and her wand, a descision that Quath would come to regret. Brandishing a sword made from the souls of his victims, the necromancer charged forward to stab her, but the mute one pointed her wand at him, and within seconds began to crystallize. Before this was complete, however, he swore to the girl that he would return and bring death to her descendants. The Blades of the Dead, mercilessly stripping the souls of their victims, immediately vanished, and the empire was saved. After the Great Shattering, this villain remained much forgotten, until his crystal form ended up on the shores of a tropical continent. Now free after 200 years of imprisonment, he seeks to establish his empire. Rebuilding the Ghlonk Horde should be a good start. (Author’s Note: Personality-wise, I based him on Middle-Earth: Shadow of War’s Zog the Eternal. Physically-wise, think of every evil wizard/sorcerer/magician that has ever existed in human culture.)
2. Yangin- He may not look much, but his background is, to say the least, rather remarkable. Descended from a nearly-forgotten tribe in the neighboring jungles south of Toontown, Yangin was quite dissatisfied with his domestic situation. Although admired by the girls for his charms, and even respected by the strongest of his tribe’s hunters for his wisdom, he felt that he needed to break away from what he felt was an endless cycle of council thoughts and simplistic traditions. Nonetheless, even with open statements, the tribe still looks up to him to this very day as the perfect role model for the next generation. Working as the librarian of Toontown University, he is often seen categorizing books and pre-Keyblade tomes with Professor Mustelal, and often attempting to be king of the hill with Honko’s wisecracking jokes. In fact, it was the chance encounter with Professor Mustelal, who was examining the ruins of a supposed Dandelion refugee camp, which Yangin decided to leave for the northern realm. Much to his surprise, his tribe elders supported his decision to see life beyond the forests, and had no need to bless him, for it was the ancestrals that did them the favor of such, although much of his family is often worried sick for his safety. Now, Yangin himself seeks to be a professor of social-cultural arts, following in the foot-steps of Professor Mustelal. (Author’s Note: The character would be modeled after these tribal (?) looking characters in this Ducktales puzzle:

)
3. Blades of the Dead- The souls of great and powerful warriors who met their end at the hands of the vile Deathflame Monarch, and controlled by the twisted necromancer Quath Nechern, their very presence is the epitome of doom on all life itself. These wraith-like horrors retain their likeness in life, albeit in a rather grotesque manner, and even hearing their war wails is enough to send even the most war-hardened of warriors into a fit of absolute, never-ending panic. While they come in different shapes and forms, they usually appear as partially transparent, with an accent of a white outline. Under the control of the soon-to-be ruler of both Marvel and Capcom universes, they are unable to recall any of their memories prior to their deaths by Uko-Gij’s Schwefel. Sometimes they ride on animated horse skeletons, other times they travel as “ethereal comets”. Despite their evil reputation, some pre-Great Shattering few believed that their souls could be redeemed, cleansed, and freed with the death of Quath Nechern himself. (Author’s Note: This band of possessed murderous ghost-like entites I based on the Nazgul from Middle-Earth lore. The following list contains those confirmed to be amongst the Blades of the Dead: Guts from Berserk, Clare from Claymore, Aarbron from Shadow of the Beast, Koinzell from Ubel Platt, Romeo and Juliet from Romeo X Juliet, Akame and Tatsumi from Akame ga Kill, Eren Yeager from Attack on Titan, Keldric from Dawn of Mana, Vexx, and Spark and Parn from Record of Lodoss War.)
4. Xeno-Campaigner’s Brotherhood- When word of Shekanmu Blood-Splattered’s death spread through many Xenomorph-infested worlds, a group of unique and equally violent Xeno-Born formed an alliance with each other, whether to be just as legendary as he was, or simply to avenge him and bring his killers to justice, in the form of chestbursting. This renegade alliance leads many like-minded Xenomorph variants, and the members include: Flev’Kax the Blue, Sewmalu Crust-Skinned, Gahn-Teo of the Thorns, Detoan Beast-Lord, Vibga the Boneless Ghost, Piw’Zas Who Glows, Antely That Flays Man, and Xujsi Armor-Bones.
5. REEF- The humiliating defeat in the final chapter of the Inter-War saga caused many cracks to develop in the resource hungry organization. For the most part: The Ferrorian market continues to plummet into depression; the Saurites’ neuro-adapters begin to become defective, resulting in frequent referalization; the Pyreans start to lose confidence in their seemingly outdated ways; the Dead Bark Band is facing a possible full-on munity; but more worrying is the fact that agroup of Colubrinese soldiers, led by Pythius, plan to overthrow Dionbach, and take command of the Colubrinese Dynasty. To make matters worse, Their Ghlonk “allies” have been reverted to their human ways, making expendable troops very hard to come by. Nonetheless, they are still determined to gain resources, and to get revenge aginst those who protected Kingdom Hearts.
6. The Lost Seeds- Not all Dandelions regrouped to confront Uko-Gij and his Ghlonks. Some truly hid themselves away in the most remote regions of the worlds they settled in, often times going feral. These “Lost Seeds” never really last long, especially when confronted with deadly enemies they have never seen before. But there is one settlement of Lost Seeds that managed to remain unchanged, and even its inhabitants have not aged at all due to consumption of a spring with very peculiar properties. Hiding within the depths of Moebuis’ jungles, they cooperate under a loose leadership and have forgotten of their days as Keyblade wielders, until they learn of constant attack from Heartless and Nobodies in their new home. Even more worrying is the appearance of Ghlonks raiding nearby villages. (Author’s Note: Their lifestyle would have to be based on real world accounts of children who spent their whole lives in the wilderness and rose by animals.)
Settings:
1. Capcom Universe- This universe seems to be locked in an ever-changing tide of order and chaos. Where mythology of ancient cultures is juxtaposed by the madness of ill science, the Marvel realm has had it fair share of heroes and villains from this Plane of Existence. Sometimes, more powerful, and often dangerous entities escape from the very border that separates the two universes, which fortunately, are dealt with easily. But an ancient and unknown threat looms over two distinct worlds.
2. SEGA Universe- Where one door leads to another, chances are the next door leads to others, and the SEGA Universe is no different. One incident involving a famous blue, speedy hedgehog and a well-known blue, multipurpose android managed to bridge a wormhole between the two universes. Ever since then, this universe has played an important role with housing temporary refugees during Marvel vs. Capcom incidents. As with the Capcom Universe, the realm of SEGA is a hodgepodge of extreme science and strange living mythologies. Long-forgotten power of destruction lay hidden, and a new menace seeks to exploit it for his gain.
3. Soul Calibur Universe- In this realm, it is blades that dominate the law. Trapped in a perpetual medieval setting, the forces of good and evil clash on a cosmic level. It is said that many warriors fight each other to the death for the possession of two powerful swords that would grant one the powers of a god. It is these two nearly godlike blades that have attracted the attention of a stranger, guarded by the souls of long-dead warriors.
