Description I want to die in the spring
free from the sterile odor of hospital quarters
and the IV sticking out of my withered arm
I want to meet death at the cross roads of beginning and end

I should be free from human attachments
Not carried off to the sad key of a funeral dirge
With old friends and lovers weeping at my side
For this I have no need

I never understood why the people around here spoke so quickly
Yelling about something that was better off forgotten
Wasting the time they could have used to actually see
On a boastful imposition of a weak self

I want to die facing the sunset
As equally alone as I was when I came to be
Staring off with the eyes of a child
Forgetting all but the soft reds of the falling sky...

I really love the ending of this poem.
Absolutely gorgeous.
It ties it up so well.
I know you don't really get on here anymore...
but I thought I'd comment anyway.
