It's an awesome series. I absolutely love it! Basically, Daisuke's a 14 year old boy with an alter ego who's a 500 year old art thief named Dark Mousy. Dark's a curse passed down throught the males of the Niwa line, and he reacts and comes out when a Niwa experiences strong feelings of love.
Then there's Satoshi Hiwatari, Daisuke's classmate and the commander of the police force that's trying to catch Dark. He's cold, smart and calculating, not to emntion one of the most desired boys in his school. On top of that, tohugh, he's also kinda Daisuke's best firned, even thoguh he knew Daisuke was Dark before Daisuke himself did.
See, this is where it gets fun. Daisuke's in love with this girl at his school named Risa Harada, who rejects him on hos 14th birthday because he's 'not cool enough.' That night, when Daisuke turns into Dark for the first time, she falls in love with Dark when she sees him on TV. Dark doesn't really care about Risa either way, but falls for her twin sister Riku as soon as he sees her. Riku, though, thinks Dark's a total pervert, and has a serious crush on Daisuke.
