Say hi to my new favourite Avatar!! I'm so sorry Aang. D:I just felt like drawing Wan, Mula and Raava (inside the tea pot in his hand) even though I'm tried as f*ck and it's 2:30 in the morning.
Their story was just so beautiful ... <3
I'll colour this later, you can bet on it, but for now I'm going to get some sleep. =_=

i am writing a story, and its coming along, i had this idea where i would ask different artists (those i deem worthy) to do one drawing for it, if you are interested, tell me in a reply, and i will tell you about the story and what needs to be drawn, and in return, i will send you a copy of the finished product. sound good?

So you're trying to make money with other people's talent?
Sorry but if you won't pay me for my work I won't work.
It's as simple as that, no offence, but just like no mechanic will fix your car, no doctor will treat you without payment, hopefully no artists will draw for you for free.
(And don't try to tell me that one copy is proper payment)
If you really "deem" an artists "worthy" treat them accordingly.

well, that escalated quickly.... i already got three artists to help me out, in the community i come from, people help others, payment or not, i do free commissions for people all the time. perhaps you should try it some time. doctors should helpp people if they dont have money. sorry to have wasted your time, you can continue whatever you are doing.

Those are called requests ... I've done requests before. But a whole comic page takes to much effort to be concidered a request. (If you want it to be more than a sketch, that is.)
I'm also doing art trades and collabs, give art present to people I like or admire. But I will not let other people exploit me. Do you want so sell that book to and make money?
Do the people who made 80% of that book get any money?

Respect YourselfMy friend shared this video to warn other artists about how she was taken advantage of, and I believe this is a very important message that every artist should hear.
I've lost count of how many times someone, be it a big corporation or an individual, have asked me to illustrate for them for free. It will always go something like this "You draw this for us, and we will include your name in the credits. That's good publicity for you!" as if such a pathetic offer holds any merit.
There was one specific case where a guy wanted to use my drawing as a book cover but didn't want to pay. He said he might print up to 50,000 books, so that's like an amazing offer of 50,000 views for me right? Wrong. 50,000 is nothing. We live in the information revolution. Don't forget we have places like Deviantart, tumblr, and all those social networking sites. Sharing art, like sharing any information, has never been easier. You don't have to degrade yourself for some disrespectful publisher to get you art se

i understand your concern. however i already got a good selection of artists working for me, the situation has changed. i am now getting paid full time by my mothers publishing co, so me and my artists are going to be making money now.
