Description TIMBERLY AND THE CARPENTER BK 1
Page 10

After that night Timberly stayed with Jason another night, and another.
Soon he had stayed so many nights that he couldn’t count them on his fingers, and he began to forget what his other room looked like.
When the prince began paying him again, Timberly and Jason went to the markets on Fair day and bought roasted nuts and sugar-covered berries. At night Jason would read, and Timberly would plan how to get back at his master the prince.
Timberly taught Jason draughts and Jason taught Timberly how to play a song on his flute.
During the long winter nights Jason offered to read Timberly stories from his book, but Timberly sniffed and told him that he was too busy for fairytales.
Timberly was busy making a plan.
