Happy New Year! Finishing the year with the trap of the year 😑

Practicing some new stuff I learned. Used a light background this time and the colors ended up brighter. Can't believe I never realized. Also painted over a grayscale draft this time, it worked out pretty well! At least the values don't go off as easily. It didn't work when I tried it last time (in August), improvement! But the grayscale image still looks kinda flat even when I spent way more time on it than coloring.
